handle,andthelatchswingsfreely.
Ifthefthwheelisequippedwithamanualsecondarylock,checktoseethatitis
properlyengaged.
Note:Ifyoucannotgetapropercoupling,repeatthisprocedure.DONOTuseany
fthwheelwhichfailstooperateproperly.

Checkthekingpintofthwheelclearancebymovingthetractorbackwardand
forwardwiththetrailerbrakesset.Iftheclearanceappearsexcessive(morethan3
mm[1/8in.]),orifthejawdoesnotlock,thefthwheelshouldbeinspectedbya
qualiedtechnicianbeforeproceeding.
Windupthetrailerlandinggear(trailersupport)toitsfullyretractedposition.Fold
downorremovethecrankhandleandplaceitinthecrankhandleholder.
Checktheairbrakelinesandthetrailerlightcordconnections.
Removethewheelchocksfromthetrailerwheels.
