K.2.10 Disassembling the brewer printed circuit board
Preparation Before disassembling the printed circuit board:
• Disconnect the power supply.
• Open the door
• Remove the freshbrewer unit, see chap. 5.B.3.2, page 5B-4.
• Remove cover plate for power supply box, FB print and CPU, see this
section, page 5K-3.
Ensure that the machine is disconnected from the mains electrical supply!
The machine is only isolated from the mains supply when the plug has
been pulled out.
Caution:
Electrostatic discharge may cause damage to Printed Circuit Boards
(PCBs) and electronic components.
To avoid damage:
• Always wear an anti-static wrist wrap when handling PCBs or
electronic components.
Alternatively touch a metal area of the earthed cabinet to discharge static
electricity from your body prior to touching any PCB or electronic compo-
nent.
Disassembly Follow these steps to disassemble the printed circuit board:
Assembly Assembly is done in reverse order.
Step Action
1 Disconnect all board
connectors
2 Remove screw at upper left
corner of printed circuit board
3 Squeeze the three fastening
clips with an appropriate tool
Tip : Use a piece of hard hose/
tube with internal diameter
of 4 mm.
4 Gently pull off the printed
circuit board.
