Decode Session Timeout
Parameter # 136 (SSI # 88h)
This parameter sets the maximum time decode processing continues during a scan attempt. It is
programmable in 0.1 second increments from 0.5 to 9.9 seconds. The default timeout is 9.9 seconds.
To set a Decode Session Timeout, scan the bar code below. Next, scan two numeric bar codes from Appendix
G, Numeric Bar Codes that correspond to the desired on time. Enter a leading zero for single digit numbers.
For example, to set a Decode Session Timeout of 0.5 seconds, scan the bar code below, then scan the 0 and
5 bar codes. To correct an error or change the selection, scan Cancel on page G-2
.
Timeout Between Decodes, Same Symbol
Parameter # 137 (SSI # 89h)
Use this option in Continuous Bar Code Read mode to prevent the beeper from continuously beeping when a
symbol is left in the digital scanner’s field of view. The bar code must be out of the field of view for the timeout
period before the digital scanner reads the same consecutive symbol. It is programmable in 0.1 second
increments from 0.0 to 9.9 seconds. The default interval is 0.5 seconds.
To select the timeout between decodes for the same symbol, scan the bar code below, then scan two numeric
bar codes from Appendix G, Numeric Bar Codes that correspond to the desired interval, in 0.1 second
increments.
