configuration into 3WXM, edit the switch, then redeploy the switch with
the new parameters.
1 Use the procedure in “Uploading a WX Switch Configuration into
3WXM” on page 370 to upload the switch.
2 In the Organizer panel, select the Mobility Domain where you placed the
switch.
3 Select the new WX switch and do one of the following:
■ Right-click on the switch, then select Properties.
■ Select Edit > Properties from the toolbar in the main 3WXM
window.
To add a switch by importing a configuration file
You can add a switch to the network plan by importing a switch
configuration file.
1 Use the procedure in “Importing and Exporting WX switch Configuration
Files” on page 396 to import the switch’s configuration file.
2 In the Organizer panel, select the Mobility Domain where you placed the
switch.
3 Select the new WX switch and do one of the following:
■ Right-click on the switch, then select Properties.
■ Select Edit > Properties from the toolbar in the main 3WXM
window.
Accessing the
Modify Switch
Wizard
To add a new switch and access the Modify Switch wizard to configure it,
see “Adding a WX Switch to the Network Plan” on page 183.
To access the Modify Switch wizard for a switch that is already in the
network plan, do the following:
1 Expand the view of a Mobility Domain in the Organizer panel to display
the WX switches in the Mobility Domain.
2 Select the WX switch you want to modify.
3 Do one of the following:
■ Right-click on the switch, then select Properties.
■ Select Edit > Properties from the toolbar in the main 3WXM
window.
