Applying WX
Configuration
Changes to Domain
Policies
If you have made configuration changes to a specific WX that should be
applied to other WX switches, you can merge these changes into your
domain policy and apply them to the other WX switches with Policy
Manager.
Policy Manager shows the CLI commands that represent the
configuration differences between the selected source WX and the
domain policy. Carefully choose the specific commands that you want the
domain policy to inherit. Once they are merged, changes apply to all WX
switches controlled by the domain policy.
(For explanations of CLI commands, see the Wireless LAN Switch and
Controller Command Reference.)
To apply WX configuration changes to a domain policy:
1 In the main 3WXM window, select Changes > Policy Manager. The
Policy Manager dialog box appears.
2 Click the arrow at the top of the dialog box so that it is pointing from
Wireless Switch to Policy.
3 In the Select Device list, select the WX whose configuration you want to
apply to a domain policy.
The domain policy for the Mobility Domain of the WX appears.
4 Select a domain policy.
The changes made to the WX appear. By default, all changes are applied.
Do one of the following to clear changes:
Clear the Apply checkbox for any changes that you do not want
applied.
Click the Clear All button to clear all checkboxes.
5 Click Apply Changes.
