Using the Client Monitor Window 421
The window begins accumulating data as soon as the monitoring service
begins monitoring client activity traps from WX switches. The window
accumulates data from up to 1000 traps, then begins discarding the
oldest traps to make way for new traps.
If data does not appear in the window, check the bottom of the window
for a message. If the message Error: The requested service is not enabled
is displayed, you need to enable the Client Monitor options on the
monitoring service. By default, the monitoring service does not provide
client data to the Monitor tab. To enable the service to provide client
data, enable the Client Monitor options on the Monitoring Settings tab of
the 3WXM Service Setup window. (See “Changing Monitoring Settings”
on page 552.)
Toolbar Options Table 32 lists the options on the Client Monitor window’s toolbar.
Table 32 Toolbar Options in Client Monitor Window
Option Description
Refresh Refreshes the data by immediately polling the monitoring
service when you click the icon.
Auto Refresh Sets the window to automatically refresh the data at
regular intervals, based on the polling interval of the
monitoring service.
Find User Displays the Find Clients dialog box, which lets you find
user session data and add users to the watch list. (See
“Managing the Client Watch List” on page 440.)
Monitor Performance Displays the Statistics tab, which contains detailed
performance data for a user. (See “Accessing Realtime
Performance Statistics” on page 452.)
Terminate Ends a user’s session. The user is disassociated from the
radio. (See “Terminating a Client’s Session” on page 445.)
Locate Displays the user’s location on the floor plan. (See
“Displaying a Client’s Geographical Location” on
page 445.)
Remove Watch Removes the user from the tracking list, so that 3WXM
stops collecting session and roaming data for the user.
Report Opens the Watch List Client Report dialog box, which
enables you to generate a report for specific clients on the
watch list. (See “Generating a Watch List Client Report”
on page 491.)
