Modifying VLANs To modify a VLAN:
1 In the Organizer panel, navigate to the domain policy or WX switch you
want to configure.
2 Expand the object to see the configuration options.
3 Expand VLANs.
4 Select the VLAN you want to modify.
5 Select Edit > Properties.
For more information about editing VLAN properties, see “Creating a
VLAN” on page 190.
Deleting VLANs To delete a VLAN:
1 In the Organizer panel, navigate to the domain policy or WX switch that
has the VLAN.
2 Expand the object to see the configuration options.
3 Select VLANs. The Modify VLANs dialog box appears.
4 Select the VLAN you want to delete.
5 Click Delete. The Delete Objects dialog box appears.
6 Click Finish to delete the VLAN. The VLAN is deleted.
Configuring the
System IP Address
You can designate one of the IP addresses configured on a WX switch
VLAN to be the system IP address of the switch. The system IP address
determines the interface or source IP address MSS uses for system tasks,
including the following:
■ Mobility Domain operations
■ Topology reporting for dual-homed MAP access points
■ Default source IP address used in unsolicited communications such as
AAA accounting reports and SNMP traps
To configure the system IP address:
1 Access the WX Switch wizard for the switch. (See “Accessing the Modify
Switch Wizard” on page 185.)
2 Select System and Administrative at the top of the wizard, if not already
selected.
