■ The Collect radio activity traps option is enabled on the Monitoring
Settings tab. This option enables the monitoring service to collect
countermeasures data from the CounterMeasureStart and
CounterMeasureStop traps sent by the Mobility Domain’s seed switch.
Enabling
Countermeasures
Countermeasures are disabled by default. To enable them, use the
following procedure.
CAUTION: Countermeasures affect wireless service on a radio. When a
MAP radio is sending countermeasures, the radio is disabled for use by
network traffic, until the radio finishes sending the countermeasures.
1 In the Organizer panel, right-click on Rogue Detection and select
Properties. The Modify Rogue Detection wizard appears.
2 Select Yes next to Enabled.
3 Click Finish.
This option enables or disables countermeasures on all MAP radios in the
Mobility Domain. After you enable this option, MSS uses the RF detection
scan results to select rogues to attack.
Any third-party transmitter that is not in the known devices list is
