Description of Parameter Rules for Loading Reagents: If Parameter Is...
ON OFF ON OFF
Priority on Rgt Bar
Code
When a reagent scan is
performed, bar code
labeled reagents
overwrite (e.g., have
priority over)
manually defined
reagents configured
for the same position.
NOTE: If any
reagent configuration
is edited and saved
after the reagent scan
is complete, this
reagent becomes
manually configured.
For example, if the
reagent expiration date
was edited to reflect
onboard stability, this
manual configuration
will be overwritten by
a bar coded reagent
each time a reagent
scan is performed.
When a reagent scan is
performed, manually
defined reagents have
priority over bar code
labeled reagents.
Place reagents with bar
code labels in any open
position of the
appropriate segment.
Place reagents without
bar code labels in
manually defined
segment positions.
Place reagents with bar
code labels in any open
position of the appropriate
segment.
Place reagents without bar
code labels in manually
defined segment
positions.
To manually delete the
reagent information,
select <Clear> on the
Reagent Specific
Position dialog window.
When <Clear> is
selected, reagent type and
cartridge size defaults
display.
CAUTION: If a
different reagent is loaded
in a position previously
configured with a
manually defined reagent,
the manual entry must be
deleted before performing
a reagent scan. Failure to
comply could lead to
erroneous results.
