It is highly recommended when using a metal cabinet to connect the earth (ground) so that any outside
interference cannot affect the operation of the AlphaVision ML. Now connect the battery pack. Most
battery packs are partially charged and need to charged for a number of hours to be fully charged.
Depending on the overall power consumption of the entire AlphaVision ML system it may be required to
place a larger battery pack. To calculate the total power consumption, see chapter "Battery power and
consumption".
When applying power to the AlphaVision ML a tamper alarm will occur if the cabinet is opened. This can be
prevented by setting dipswitch 4 to ON or pressing the tamper switch and holding it closed when powering
up. On newer versions of the main board a jumper is present next to the tamper switch to keep it closed. In
existing installations that are already powered up and the cabinet is closed a tamper alarm can be
prevented by first entering the INSTALLER MENU before opening the cabinet.
►! Do not forget to remove the jumper next to the tamper spring when closing the cabinet!
►! Do not forget to put dipswitch 4 back to the OFF position when closing the cabinet!
