Installer manual AlphaVision ML Rev. 3.60 01-01-2015 62
If a fire alarm and burglary alarm occur simultaneously the fire (slow-whoop) siren sound will be leading.
The activating time for the LS output is programmable and can be programmed in the “TIMERS” menu
under the programming option “LS TIME”.
From software v3.00 and higher it is possible to generate a doorbell signal through the loudspeaker (LS)
output. To use this functionality the programming option ‘LS ON DOORBELL’ must be enabled first. Now if a
zone that is characterized as ‘chime zone’ is triggered when the system is disarmed a short signal of about 1
second will be heard. The doorbell function can be switched on and off by the user via the user menu.
Entry/Exit buzzer
The AlphaVision ML LCD and LCD/PROX keypads have an integrated buzzer. The buzzer can be activated as
an Entry/Exit buzzer for delayed zones and can be programmed per keypad. This makes it possible to
activate the buzzer of some keypads and some not (for example in the bedroom).
For each keypad the buzzer can sound for: ENTRY/EXIT, ENTRY ONLY, EXIT ONLY, ENT/EXIT DAYTIME, ENTRY
DAYTIME, EXIT DAYTIME or OFF. When choosing a buzzer during daytime the buzzer will only sound
between 08.00 and 19.00. Outside these times no entry/exit buzzer will be heard.
Entry delays and Exit delays are valid for all delayed zones (delayed 1 to delayed 5). The activation time for
the entry delays and exit delays are freely programmable in the installer menu “TIMERS”.
Trouble buzzer
If a fault occurs in the system the same buzzer that is used as the entry/exit buzzer will sound to warn the
user. The trouble buzzer is activated (depending on the programming, TROUBLE BUZZER - ON, OFF or
DAYTIME) if a fault occurs in the system. The 'daytime' option ensures that the buzzer is not activated
between 19.00 an 08.00 hours.
The function of the trouble buzzer is to alert users that an error has occurred in the system. In the event of a
malfunction, the buzzer beeps once every 3 seconds for one minute. Also the Information (i) LED will flash
on the keypad and the text "Information present" will be shown in the display. To find out what malfunction
has occurred the user (level 3, 5 or 7) must enter the Information menu by pressing the button.
Alarm relay output 1 and 2
The Alpha Vision ML has two potential-free alarm relay outputs (AL1 and AL2). Using the dip-switches (J5
and J18) you can choose whether the output is NO (normally open) or NC (Normally closed). When the dip-
switch is positioned to the left position then it operates as NO, when positioned to the right it operates as
NC.
The alarm relay outputs can be activated in the following situations:
ALARM
OK (ready to arm)
BUZZER SECTION 1 to 8 (entry- and exit delay)
PARTIALLY (partial arming)
TOTALLY (total arming)
FIRE RESET (reset hard-wired fire detectors)
TRIGGER OUTPUT (activate an output via a PIN-code, keyfob or (mobile) telephone)
SECTION 1 to 8 ARM/DI (Indication that the section is armed)
ALARM SECTION 1 to 8 (alarm in section 1 to 4)
FIRE
TEST MODE
FOLLOW INP. 01-100
The "Trigger output" is designed to be activated shortly (about 3 seconds) or in a toggle mode by a level 1
PIN-code (from software V2.03), a keyfob or via a (mobile) phone remotely. For a detailed explanation of
this feature, see chapter Activate Trigger output via a PIN, keyfob or (mobile) phone.
