Installer manual AlphaVision ML Rev. 3.60 01-01-2015 45
Level 7 is the supervisor code for the entire system. The supervisor code can do everything that levels 1 to 5
can do and also some additional features such as programming user codes/proximity tags. When presenting
a level 7 tag to the external proximity reader the sections that are assigned to the user code (tag) must be
disarmed before the o.c. output of the proximity reader will be activated.
User code 90 is the supervisor code and has the default code: 445566. From firmware V2.01 and above it is
also possible to use 4-digit codes.
! After a code is entered incorrectly ten (10) times the keypad is locked for 90 seconds. If the code is
again incorrectly entered ten (10) times the keypad is locked for 90 seconds and a alarm message is sent to
the central station.
Guard code
From firmware version 2.04 and above a Guard code option was added to the AV-ML. User 89 in the user
codes is reserved for the Guard code. The Guard code option allows the security guard to always arm the
system but only disarm the system after an alarm has occurred. If no alarm has occurred the guard cannot
disarm the system. The security guard must always use the navigator keys < , and > to
partially arm, totally arm or disarm the system. Typing in the guard code first on the keypad does not work !
User 89 in the system is reserved for the guard code and the code should always be programmed as a
level 5 code, valid for all days of the week. It is important to link all (valid) sections of the system to Total
arming (System options / Completely).
Days of the week
Per user code it is possible to program which days of the week the code is valid. This way you can prevent
users being able to arm or disarm the security alarm system in weekends or on days that the user does not
work. The days are displayed with the first letter of the day in the following order: Sunday, Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Sections
For each user it should be determined which section (s) the user can arm and disarm. The AlphaVision ML
has up to four sections which are designated by the numbers 1 through 4.
After all the options above have been programmed, press the button to jump to the user name field.
User name
For all user codes a name can be assigned. Programming a user name (maximum 16 characters) is done
using the navigator keys ( and ). The cursor appears under the first letter "G". Using the and
buttons it is possible to scroll through the letters of the alphabet. Once the correct letter appears press
the button to jump to the next letter ("e"). It is also possible to jump back to the previous letter by
using the key. Once the correct user name has been programmed or you do not wish to program a
custom user name, press the <#/OK> button to save the name.
Duress code
The AlphaVision ML also has a duress code function. The duress code function enables the user to disarm
the system under threat. The duress code function is only valid for disarming the system with a PIN-code
and does not apply for disarming with a proximity tag or keyfob transmitters and is only useful for alarm
transmission to a central station. The duress code function does not work for alarm transmission to private
(mobile) phone. The "duress code" function can be turned on or off in the system programming.
The user can disarm the system under threat (duress) by increasing the last digit of his/her user code by 1.
For example if the PIN-code was a 6-digit code: 987654, then PIN-code 987655 should be keyed in. If the last
digit of the PIN-code was a 9, then a 0 must be entered. Once the user has disarmed the system using the
