In the submenu ‘Backup D3’ al settings can be programmed for the backup IP dialer that’s transmits to a
monitoring station. For the backup dialer you can choose between LAN (Ethernet) communication of GPRS
(if a GSM plug-on board is present). The following programming options can be set:
Backup D2 active
Monitoring station IP-address
Monitoring station port number
Monitoring station account number
IP polling interval
Test report interval
Communication method
The programming options for Backup D2 are equal to the options used for Standard D1.
Diverse LAN/GPRS settings
D1/D2 protocol (V3.00 and higher)
Here you can program the desired protocol used for IP / GPRS reporting to the monitoring station.
From firmware version 3.0 and above the SEC-IP protocol was added to the Alpha Vision ML . The SEC-IP
protocol is received on a Enai RX -8000 receiver ( release from 4:09:00 ) in the monitoring station.
The SEC-IP protocol has a strict ' commissioning ' procedure between the RX -8000 receiver and the
AlphaVision ML to verify the authentication before the connection can be established. The monitoring
station must create in advance an account in the RX -8000 receiver. The account details consist of various
data and must be made available to the installer. The commissioning procedure is valid only once and is
unique per AlphaVision ML control panel.
The account consists of the following data:
• an 'account' – must be entered in the programming option ACCOUNT NUMBER Standard D1 or Backup D2
• a 'UserName' - must be entered in the programming option SECIP USER NAME
• a 'Password' - must be entered in the programming option SECIP PASSWORD
If programming is done using the AlphaTool software tool then an extra field 'CheckSum’ is present. The
CheckSum is intended to verify that the UserName and Password data is entered correctly.
In AlphaTool it is also possible to receive the data from the monitoring station as one long string. The
complete string can be pasted into the Commissioning data field in which all individual fields are
automatically filled.
APP Port Number (V3.00 and higher)
From firmware V3.0 and above it is possible to operate the AlphaVision ML control panel using a mobile
application (APP). The app is available for both Android and iOS operating systems and can be downloaded
free of charge from the Google Play store or Apple Store.
To establish a connection between the APP and the AlphaVision ML control panel various data must be
verified. Thus it is necessary to program an APP port number both in the APP and in the AlphaVision ML. If
the AlphaVision ML control panel must be reachable from outside the protected premises APP portnumber
must be forwarded in the modem / router of the customer. The Default portnumber is 9100 and is freely
programmable.
APP Key (V3.00 and higher)
As an additional security measure to connect using the APP a unique key must be programmed. This unique
key is checked every time during connection between the APP and the AlphaVision ML. The APP key can be
up to 16 characters long and can contain numbers, letters and some special characters.
