Installer manual AlphaVision ML Rev. 3.60 01-01-2015 68
Quick arming
The programming option "QUICK ARMING' can be chosen if the end-user would prefer to arm the system
partially (PARTIAL) or totally (TOTAL) without the need for entering a PIN-code. This option only works if the
end-user arms the system using the PARTIAL or TOTAL buttons on the keyboard. When disarming the
system a valid PIN-code must always be entered. The programming options are YES or NO.
Bypass
In the bypass programming option you determine whether users are allowed to temporarily bypass zones.
In the zone programming you can determine for each individual zone whether it may be bypassed or not.
Security regulations state that at least one zone may not be bypassed. Programming Options are YES or NO
Auto-reset (1-3 times)
With the auto reset programming option it is determined how many times each zone may give an alarm
during one arming session. The auto reset function is intended to prevent many messages being sent to a
private phone or central station in case of a malfunction in a detector. The auto reset function applies per
zone!. Programming options are: NO RESET, RESET AFTER 1T, RESET AFTER 2Ts, RESET AFTER 3Ts.
Panic alarm
With the panic alarm programming option it is determined whether the user can cause a panic alarm by
pressing the <*> and <#> keys simultaneously on the keyboard. This option also applies for keyfob
transmitters if the AlphaVision ML is equipped with a wireless expansion module, by pushing the partial
( ) and total ( ) arming buttons. Programming options are ON or OFF. (For further explanation, see user
manual). In the case of a panic alarm an alarm message is sent to the central station and all outputs
programmed as ALARM will be activated.
! From firmware V2.01 and above after causing a panic alarm when the system is disarmed, the
system can only be armed if the message is read and cleared in the Information present menu first.
Duress code
The duress code feature can be activated if the end-user wishes to be able to disarm the system under
threat. If the duress code option is enabled the user can key in his/her code where the last digit of code is
increased by 1, so 887766 is entered as 887767. If the last digit is <9> then it must be replaced with a <0>.
The duress code feature can only be used for user codes and does not apply for disarming with a proximity
tag. Use of the duress code option only makes sense when transmitting alarms to a central station and does
not apply for private reporting. When entering a duress code the system will be disarmed as usual, but
immediately an alarm message will be reported to the central monitoring station that the system is
disarmed under threat. During alarm reporting the corresponding dialer LED on the keyboard will not light
up and the "Information available" message will not appear in the display. Programming options are YES or
NO. For further explanation, see user manual.
Partial arming
The AlphaVision ML keypad is equipped with a (partial) key which can be used to partially arm the
system. In this programming option you determine which section (s) will be armed when the user presses
the button. If the programming option ‘Quick arming’ is programmed as yes the system will
immediately be partially armed without the need to enter a user code.
! If quick arming is enabled in the programming it may be possible for certain users to arm sections
that the user code normally has no authorization for !.
