Installer manual AlphaVision ML Rev. 3.60 01-01-2015 47
In the submenu "Change Volume" the volume of the speech texts coming from the keypad with speakers
and microphone, the external 4-8 ohm speaker or external speakerphone can be raised or lowered. Choice
between: normal, soft or loud.
In the submenu "Speech Option" it can be determined whether the vocal support (speech prompts) through
the speakers in the keypad, the external 4-8 ohm speaker or the speakerphone can be heard or not. Choice
between: on or off.
In the submenu "Doorbell Option", the chime function can be turned on or off. In the zone programming
each zone can also be assigned to a doorbell function. If the system is disarmed and a doorbell zone is
activated, a 1-second signal (from software V2.04 and higher) can be generated from the loudspeaker (LS
output) or a chime sound will be heard through the speakers of the keypad or an external 4-8 ohm speaker
(if the system is equipped with a speech plug-on board art.nr. 004162).
►! If in the submenu "Speech Option" the vocal support (speech prompts) is turned OFF then the
doorbell signal will still be audible, this option should be turned off separately.
Open zones
In the submenu "Open Zones", all open zones are displayed. The user gets a list of all open zones, on the top
line of the LCD display the zone number is displayed and on the bottom line the zone name. Some "open
zones" must be bypassed or should be closed before arming the system. See the user guide for further
instructions.
Maintenance
In the user menu of the AlphaVision ML there is also a "Maintenance" submenu present which is both
accessible for the installer through the installer menu as the supervisor through the user menu. For the
supervisor only specific features are accessible. In order to gain access to all features the installer must
access the "MAINTENANCE" submenu through the installer menu. The supervisor only has the following
specific options:
o Walktest zones
o View zones (part of the walktest zones)
o Test LCD display & LED’s
o Remote IP connection
o Installer access
o Send testreport
Walktest zones
When the supervisor wants to perform a walk test of all connected zones he can select the ‘Walktest zones’
options from the "Maintenance" submenu.
Press <#/OK> to start the walk test, the display now shows "Walk Test, Busy ... .... During the walk test every
time a zone is activated all zone information will directly be displayed on the LCD display. On the top line of
the display the zone number and field strength (for example RF = 108) is displayed, on the bottom line the
zone name is displayed. All connected zones should be activated individually. When walk testing hard-wired
zones the field strength indication is meaningless and will always be displayed as RF = 099.
If the AlphaVision ML is equipped with a wireless expansion module for receiving Visonic PowerCode
868MHz components, then the actual field strength (for example RF = 118) of wireless zones will be visible
on the LCD display. If wireless PIR motion detectors are present you must take into consideration that the
motion detector has a "sleep mode". The sleep mode is present in wireless motion sensors to extend
battery lifetime, once a motion is detected the detector goes to sleep for 2 minutes. During sleep all new
motions detected are not sent to the wireless expansion module of the AlphaVision ML. The motion
