be connected. Select the submenu "Keyboards", "Keyboard sections", “Keyboard type”, "IO modules",
"proximity reader or “KNX module” and press the <#/OK> button to enter the programming option.
Keypads, expansion modules and proximity readers all use an address setting, make sure the dip switches
on the keypad and expansion modules are set to the correct address before the programming is done.
! The maximum current drain via the RS-485 bus may not exceed 500mA.
Jamming detection
The programming option "Jamming Detection" is only meaningful if the AlphaVision ML control panel is
equipped with a wireless expansion module. The programming options are YES or NO. If YES, then the
detection of other wireless devices (which could cause interference) is on. If interference signals are
detected according to European regulations for a certain duration, then a system message will be displayed.
According to the European regulations, there is "jamming" (interference) when a wireless signal
interference continues uninterrupted for 30-seconds, or an accumulation of signals together are 30 seconds
long within a 1-minute timeframe.
If the system is armed then an alarm message will also be reported to the central station. If the system is
disarmed the supervisor must read and erase the system message from the ‘Information present’ menu
before the system can be armed.
House Identity
On the top line of the LCD display of all keypads a house identity name can be programmed, such as "Jones
Family". If alarm reporting is done through PSTN or GSM using the SMS protocol, the "House Identity" will
also be sent in the SMS text message.
If the AlphaVision ML is also equipped with a speech plug-on board (art.code 004162) then the installer can
record the “house identity " as a speech text. The “House Identity” as speech text will be reported to Private
(mobile) telephone numbers via PSTN or GSM if protocol "Speech" is chosen. Speech messages can be
recorded in the “Speech recording” menu.
Usercodes (V2.00 and higher)
Here you can determine whether user codes are 4 - or 6-digits. User codes can be programmed/modified in
the User Menu. The programming screen always displays a 6-digit code and must be programmed as such, if
the option 4-digit codes is selected then the last 2 digits (of the 6-digit user code) is ignored by the system. If
the option 4-digit codes is programmed this applies for all codes including the installer code and guard code.
EN50131 mode (V2.00 and higher)
The programming option 'EN50131 mode' is present in the AlphaVision ML to make it compliant with the
new EN50131 guidelines to reduce false alarms. If the programming option is set to 'YES’ the following
functionality applies:
If during the exit delay an instant or 24-hour zone is activated then the arming procedure is aborted.
This is indicated by sounding 10 short acoustic signals via the LS (loudspeaker) output. Also, a
message (SIA code NCI) is transmitted to the central station to indicate that the arming was
aborted.
If during the entry delay an instant or 24-hour zone is activated the installed sounders and strobe
lights are activated immediately but the alarm will be reported to the central station at least 30
seconds later and always after the expiry of the entry delay time. If the system is disarmed before
the end of the total time (at least 30 seconds and always after expiry of the entry delay) then no
alarm will be transmitted to the monitoring station.
If the user is unable to disarm the system within the entry delay time, then after the entry delay
time expires all connected sounders and strobe lights will be activated but reporting the alarm to
