The GSM/GPRS module can also serve as a GPRS backup dialer for the integrated IP alarm dialer.
The GSM/GPRS plug-on board features a green LED that indicates whether the GSM unit is functioning
properly and it is enrolled in the network of the GSM network provider.
The GSM/GPRS plug-on board is connected to the Alpha Vision ML main board using the 2 red connectors.
Ensure that the supplied double-sided foam is used to fixate the GSM/GPRS plug-on board to the main
board. When replacing or disconnecting the GSM/GPRS plug-on board ensure that the plug-on board is
fixated with a new piece of dubble-sided foam.

Replacing an AlphaVision NG for a AlphaVision ML
The AlphaVision ML print (replacement board, part number 009863) can be installed in existing installations
to replace the AlphaVision NG control panel. Remove the AlphaVision NG pcb board and install the
AlphaVision ML pcb board in the same location in the cabinet. Two of the four mounting holes on the ML
pcb board deviate slightly from the NG pcb board.
The AlphaVision ML replacement pcb board is delivered with two tamper springs, one short and one long. If
the AlphaVision NG is mounted an a Alpha-4 cabinet (distance between bottom casing and top casing is
approx 95mm) then the short spring must be mounted on the AlphaVision ML pcb board. If the AlphaVision
NG is mounted in a Alpha-5 cabinet (distance between bottom casing and top casing is approx. 130mm)
then the long tamper spring must be mounted.
If the AlphaVision NG was equipped with an extra input + 8oC expansion board this board can still be used in
conjunction with the AlphaVision ML panel. In many cases, this expansion board is set to address 1 meaning
zones 9 to 16. In an AlphaVision ML installation the inputs of the first module become zones 13 t0 20.
