mainboard. From software version 3.50 and above it is also possible to generate a doorbell signal through
the loudspeaker (LS) output on a I/O module wirh power supply (art.code 004312). If the AlphaVision ML is
equipped with a speech plug-on board and this is also connected to a keypad with integrated speakers
(art.nr. 004128) or an external 4-8 ohm speaker, a door chime sound can be played when a doorbell zone is
disrupted.
►! If the user disables the “Speech Option” in the user menu, the doorbell chime will still be heard.
Bypass
Each zone can be programmed whether it may be bypassed or not. Security regulations state that at least
one zone may not be bypassed.
Zone sections
Each zone should be assigned to one or more sections. If a zone is assigned to multiple sections then this
zone is treated as a 'common zone'. A common zone will only cause an alarm if all sections to which the
zone is assigned are armed and the zone is triggered. Default there are no sections assigned to a zone.
Inactivity
Each zone can also be programmed to also work as an inactivity zone. An inactivity zone must be activated
at least once within a programmed timeframe, if not, an alarm will be sent to the central station and / or
private phone number (s). The timeframe is programmable in the menu 'Timers' in the programming option
"Inactivity". The inactivity feature only works if the section which the zone is assigned to, is disabled.
Zone characteristics
Since the AlphaVision ML can be equipped with both hard-wired and wireless zones a zone characteristic
must be defined for each zone. The following zone characteristics are available:
Not Active (default)
End of line NC (normally closed)
Normally closed (NC)
End of line NO (normally open)
Normally open (NO)
Wireless
KNX Input 1-16 (V3.50 and above)
For hard-wired zones that are programmed as "End of line” the Alphatronics resistor configuration is valid.
This is described in chapter “Inputs with EOL”.
From firmware version 3.20 and above the AlphaVision ML control panel supports various EOL resistor
values next to the standard Alphatronics (1k8 / 10K / 39K) resistors. The EOL resistor value that the system
must work with can be programmed in System Options / EOL resistor. For a detailed explanation on this
topic see chapter System options, paragraph EOL resistor.
From firmware version 3.50 and above KNX inputs have been added. With this option it is possible to link
KNX (home automation) devices as a input zone on the AlphaVision ML control panel.
►! Zones 1 to 100 are all set to "Not active" in the default programming
