Table 28: Exception Function Codes
The exception code in the third byte of the response specifies the reason why the
request was rejected. The following table shows the meaning of each exception code.

0x01
Illegal Function Code
The transmitted function code is invalid (not 0x41 or 0x42).
0x02
Illegal Data
Address
(Unknown Command
Number)
The data address (Command Number) received in the request
is not an allowable address for the
receiver.
0x03
Illegal Data Value
A value contained in the data field of the Request is not an
allowable value. This
indicates that the number of data bytes
received for requested command is incorrect. It explicitly does
not mean that the data value is outside the allowed limit for
the requested command.
0x84
Value Invalid
The value that was sent is invalid.
0x85
Parameter Not
Writable
The parameter is not writable (for read
-only parameters).
0x86
Parameter Not
Readable
The parameter is not readable (for write-only parameters).
0x87
Stop
The parameter is not changeable while RF is on. Turn RF off
and send
the parameter again.
0x88
Not Allowed
Writing this parameter is not allowed (insufficient rights).
