7 Warranty and maintenance
7.1 Warranty statement and terms
Comet Yxlon's products are warranted to be free from failures due to defects in material
and workmanship after they are shipped from the factory.
Warranty is only applicable if the product is operated under the specified operating
conditions. Operation outside of specified conditions will void this warranty.
There are no user serviceable parts in this product. All repairs must be done by
Comet Yxlon authorized repair centers respectively. Any unauthorized repair will void this
warranty.
Comet Yxlon makes no express or implied warranty that the goods are merchantable or
fit for any particular purpose except as specifically stated in printed Comet Yxlon's
specifications. The sole responsibility of Comet Yxlon shall be that it will manufacture the
goods in accordance with its published specifications and that the goods will be free from
defects in material and workmanship.
Comet Yxlon's liability for breach of an expressed warranty shall exist only if the goods
are installed, started in operation, and tested in conformity with Comet Yxlon's published
instructions.
Comet Yxlon expressly excludes any warranty whatsoever concerning goods that have
been subject to misuse, negligence, or accident, or that have been altered or repaired by
anyone other than Comet Yxlon duly authorized agent.
This warranty is expressly made in lieu of any and all other warranties, expressed or
implied, unless otherwise agreed to in writing. The warranty period is 12 months after the
date the goods are shipped from Comet Yxlon.
In all cases, Comet Yxlon has sole responsibility for determining the cause and nature of
the failure, and Comet Yxlon's determination with regard thereto shall be final. The
Comet Yxlon warranty statement may be superseded by a service agreement entered
between Comet Yxlon and the customer.
