4 Installation and connection
All connections to the Synertia® RF generator described in this section are located on its
back panel. The figures are intended as a guide.
4.1 Sequence of installation
WARNING
The following sequence for the installation of a Synertia® RF generator
must be observed. If the prescribed sequence is not followed, dangerous
situations with risk of bodily injury or death might result.
Safety note 22: Warning - installation
When installing and connecting the RF generator, the following critical items need to be
observed:
NOTICE
Use as short as possible and double shielded cables wherever it is
applicable.
Safety note 23: Notice - shielded cables
Make the individual connections in the following sequence:
Connect ground.

Connect the RF generator interlock to the customer’s system.

Connect any applicable interfaces (User port, digital interfaces).

Connect RF power cable to generator output.

Connect cooling water source and drain (only water-cooled generators).
