7.2 Periodic checking of the safety interlock
system
On a schedule of every 2 years, test the safety interlock (sec 1.3.4) as follows:
Turn off RF output.
Open the interlock loop, for example by removing the interlock connector. See
Figure 25.
Confirm that zero RF output is provided when RF is turned on at 100 W setpoint.
Again, turn off RF output.
Re-close the safety interlock.
The test is complete.
7.3 Maintenance
There are no other regular adjustments and maintenance to be performed on
Synertia® RF generators.
Some devices on the baseboard draw their energy from a button cell. The life of the
button cell is a maximum of 10 years and can NOT be replaced by the user. The button cell
is replaced automatically by the service department when the device is recalibrated.
There are no user serviceable parts within the unit.
Any servicing must be carried out by Comet Yxlon technical support.
7.4 Calibration
The specified power measurement accuracy is only valid if the generator is within a
calibration period of 12 months.
Please contact support or your local dealer for (re-)calibration.
