9.2 User Port – 15-pin analog/digital interface
(optional)
9.2.1 Signals on the 15-pin analog/digital User Port
The following table shows the factory configuration of the 15-pin User Port.
RF Power Setpoint /
Process Control
Setpoint
provided to this analog input represents
a linearly scaled setting for the RF
power set point.
The function of the signal provided to this analog
input depends on the power control mode. In
Forward Power Control Mode, it sets the requested
forward power.
In Load Power Control Mode the requested load
power is set.
In Process Control Mode the requested process
value is set.
The voltage range for this analog input is 0
V to
V. 0 V to 10 V correlates to 0 W to nominal
power.
For example, a voltage of 5
V correlates to 50 % of
power (see type label for actual
For operation, this return must be grounded either
on host or client side.

V to 10 V.
V to 10 V correlates to 0 W to nominal RF power.
For example, a voltage of 1
V correlates to 10 % of
power (see type label for actual
Signal ground connection isolated from chassis
ground. Return pin for DI and DO signals. For
operation, this GND must be grounded either on
host or client side.
When the generator is ready to
deliver RF
power, a 5 V signal is sent to this output.
