10.4 Reading warning and error messages
Reading warning and error messages should be implemented in the following way. The
mentioned parameters are listed in Table 49 "Parameters".
The number of present warning and error messages can be retrieved from the generator
via the parameters 8150 (number of warnings) and 8100 (number of errors). These two
parameters should be polled cyclically by the controlling system (e. g. PLC) during
operation. In normal operation without warnings and errors, both parameters return 0
(zero).
Any value different from 0 indicates that a warning or error is present. In this case the
controlling system must perform further operations to obtain specific information about
the warnings or errors. The RF generator can simultaneously provide 16 warning IDs
(parameters 8167 through 8182) and 16 error IDs (parameters 8133 through 8148). If, for
example, the generator reports the presence of three warnings and two errors, the
controlling system must read parameters 8167, 8168, and 8169 to obtain the warning IDs
and parameters 8133 and 8134 for the error IDs. It is not required to always read all
warning and error IDs as the exact number is already known from parameter 8150 and
8100.
Warnings will clear automatically as soon as the conditions causing them is cleared. Errors
can have different states and must be explicitly cleared by the user. Errors can be cleared
by sending parameter 1001 “Command” with value 9: "Reset Errors”. The state of each
error can be read using the parameters 8102, 8104, … 8132.
