1.3 Hazards
The following hazards may occur when using the RF generator.
1.3.1 High voltage hazards
DANGER
This label is used on the product to indicate a hazard due to high
voltage.
Any person who has contact with high voltage parts of the generator,
can be killed or severely injured.
• The RF generator produces high voltage. It is present within the
generator as well as at the RF output.
The mains connection of the generator carries voltages which are
dangerous to life.
Safety note 3: Danger - high voltage
Protective measures performed by the manufacturer
• The generator is built into a closed and RF-shielded metallic housing.
• Voltages present internally within the unit will be discharged after three minutes.
Safety instructions for the user
The following instructions must be obeyed by the user at any time:
• Only use the generator within the conditions described in the technical
specifications.
• Never open the generator, operate the generator always with the housing closed.
• For the connection of the RF output, use exclusively a fully intact cable without
any flaws.
• The RF cable must be properly connected at both ends.
• The RF cable shielding must be grounded at both ends (generator and load side).
• Only water-cooled generator: If any fluid leaks are seen, shut off power and do
not attempt to handle electrical connectors on the unit while water is present.
