The external disconnect device must:
• be rated for at least 10 kAIC as short-circuit breaking capacity,
• be compliant to standards IEC 60947-1 and IEC 60947-3,
• not be installed in the mains cable,
• be readily accessible by the user,
• be located such that an operator or inspector of the device is not
subjected to serious risk of tripping, falling, or being exposed to electrical
or mechanical hazards,
• be lockable only in the "OFF" or isolated position,
• be marked as the disconnect device for the equipment.
WARNING
To prevent potential life-threatening danger, a switch or circuit
breaker must not interrupt the protective conductor.
