1.8 Maintenance and inspection
If the general rated operational data ( Table 2, page 19) is observed and
the special technical data is taken into account
( Section 5.4, Specific technical data, page 124 andPage 138) for the res-
pective power classes and versions, RAMO5 and RASP5 are maintenance-
free. External factors can, however, influence the components’s lifespan and
function. We therefore recommend that regular checks and the following
general maintenance measures be performed at the specified intervals.

RAMO5 or RASP5 units have not been designed to allow individual assem-
blies of a device to be replaced or repaired.

Clean cooling vents (cooling slits) - RASP5 only please enquire
Check the fan function - RASP5 only 6 - 24 months (depending on the environment)
Check plug-in connectors (AS-Interface, sensors, mains,
motor, etc.) and all metallic surfaces for corrosion
6 - 24 months (depending on the environment)
STO function (RASP5 with STO input only) Activate and deactivate STO at least once every three
months.
