Paper Feed Shaft Removal
1. Remove the upper housing (See page 3-4).
2. Remove the printer mechanism (See page 3-10).
3. Remove the paper eject frame (See page 3-21).
4. Remove the CR unit (See page 3-30).
5. Remove one screw (CBP, 3x8) securing the ink supply tube to the tube holder on the printer mechanism
with tube holder (B). Then release the tubes from the printer mechanism.
6. Set the traction/friction release lever to the tractor position and push the release transmission lever (a
black plastic lever located at the inner side of the left frame) inward. Then turn the sub tractor release
cam as shown in Figure 3-30 until it fits into the cutout on the left frame. Then release the joint for the sub
tractor cam and left frame.
7. Pull out the tractor release shaft along with the tractor sub release cam.
8. Remove five screws (CBS, 3×6) securing the base frame to the printer mechanism. Then remove the
base frame.
