Configuring VRRP and VRRPE
This chapter describes how to configure Foundry Layer 3 Switches with the following router redundancy protocols:
• Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) – The standard router redundancy protocol described in RFC
2338.
• VRRP Extended (VRRPE) – An enhanced version of VRRP that overcomes limitations in the standard
protocol.
This chapter contains the following information:
NOTE: VRRP and VRRPE are separate protocols. You cannot use them together.
