Chapter 11
Maintenance and Service
11.1 Maintenance and Inspection
To ensure the safe operation of this unit, perform maintenance
regularly.
If damage is suspected, check the "Troubleshooting" section before
contacting your dealer or Hioki representative.
If the unit has been subject to moisture, or if oil and dust have accumulated
in the unit interior, the danger of electrical shock or fires resulting from the
deterioration of insulation increases greatly. If the unit is ever subject to
excessive moisture, oil, or dust, cease use immediately, and return the unit to
us for maintenance.
Periodic calibration is necessary to verify and maintain accuracy. If
calibration becomes necessary, return the unit to us for maintenance.
This product uses a lithium battery to back up its memory. As the battery
power is consumed, it's ability to store measurement conditions diminishes.
In the event that measurement conditions can no longer be stored, please
contact the manufacturer for repair service.
Cleaning the Unit
To clean the product, wipe it gently with a soft cloth moistened with water
or mild detergent. Never use solvents such as benzene, alcohol, acetone,
ether, ketones, thinners or gasoline, as they can deform and discolor the
case.
Wipe the LCD display gently with a dry, soft cloth.
