Digital lter characteristics
11.4 Digital lter characteristics
The U8550, U8551, U8552, U8553, LR8530, LR8531, LR8532, and LR8533 have a digital lter.
The cuto󰀨 frequency is set automatically based on the measurement module type, number of
channels in use, data refresh interval, power supply frequency lter, and wire break detection
setting.
If you need to reject the power supply’s line frequency, you can obtain a high level of noise rejection
performance by setting the cuto󰀨 frequency so that it matches the power supply’s line frequency.
For more information about the cuto󰀨 frequency, see the sections about individual modules’ digital
lters in “10.2 Plug-in Module Specications” (p. 310).
The following gures o󰀨er a typical example of the digital lter characteristics for the U8550
Voltage/Temp Module when using a data refresh interval of 10 s:
Cuto󰀨 frequency: 50 Hz
Frequency (Hz)
Gain (dB)
Cuto󰀨 frequency: 60 Hz
Frequency (Hz)
Gain (dB)
