14.7 Connecting the machine to the electric system
Before making the electric connection, make sure that the machine is set up for the
available mains voltage.
The connection of the machine's earth cable (protection circuit) is compulsory, and must be
made before connecting the phase cables.
The machine needs a supply line with a suitable section (refer to the electric diagrams
attached).
After connecting all the electrical cables, place protective trunking over the cables to protect
them from the external environment.
To connect the machine to the electric system, proceed as follows:
1. Put the main switch (that the machine will be
connected to) in the 0 - OFF position.
2. Make sure the main machine switch is on
0-OFF, then open the door.
3. Insert the three-phase power cable (ref.A)
into the hole on the side of the electrical
cabinet.
4. Connect first the yellow-green earth cable
(ref.PE) and then the three phase cables
(ref. L1, L2, L3) to their respective
terminals.
5. Check that the phases are connected in the
right order. To do this, you must
end the installation procedure, switch on the
machine, and activate the washing system
water pump.
6. If the pump turns in the opposite direction, switch off the machine and invert the position of 2 of
the 3 phase cables (ref. L1, L2, L3).
Main switch
The main switch is located on the electrical cabinet and is used to
connect and disconnect the electricity supply. It can be locked, to prevent
tampering by third parties.
