3.2 Manual movement of the axes
It may be useful - and in some cases indispensable - to move the machine axes during tooling. To
carry out this operation, use the buttons on the control panel or hand-held button pad, after
selecting the required axis.
For further information, refer to the User Interface Manual.
3.3 Axis transfer speed change
In manual mode, you can use the interface buttons to vary the axis transfer speed (between 0 and
125% of the maximum manual speed).
For further information, refer to the User Interface Manual.
In machining operation mode, the axis transfer speed is usually changed when testing a program,
in order to select the speed best suited to the material to be machined, or to allow closer
observation of the axis movements in particularly critical points of the program.
In this case too, you can use the interface buttons to vary the programmed speed (between 0 and
125%).
During the machining operation, the advance speed is varied according to the characteristics of
the material and the type of machining operation being performed.
For further information, refer to the User Interface Manual.
3.4 Working areas
The machine work table is subdivided into two areas, known as “stations”:
their position may vary on the basis of the operator's preference and the piece to be machined.
When machining a large piece, the whole work table is used.
3.5 Origins
The machine origin, or “absolute origin" (0), is a predefined point used as a reference for
establishing the position of an element on the machine. It is also the main reference for the X, Y
and Z axes. The machine also has "work origins", for establishing the exact position of the piece.
Absolute origin (0)
The absolute origin (0) is an imaginary point in line with the reset cams, set by the manufacturer
during the testing of the machine.
It is used as the base origin for then setting the work origins.
In particular:
the reset cam in Z is in the upper part (Z+)
