11.2 Special maintenance
11.2.1 Maintenance of the pump in the machining water
recirculation system
Every 6000 work hours (or every 3 years), an overhaul of the pump must be carried out and, if
necessary, worn parts must be replaced with gaskets that guarantee a better seal to safeguard the
motor and electrical components.
Contact a technician authorised by INTERMAC to perform this task.
11.2.2 Maintenance of the high pressure system
The system that provides high pressure water to the cutting head is formed of connected tubes
that could deteriorate over time, causing dangerous leaks in the joints.
It is advisable to check the system periodically; if you notice any leaks, stop the UHP intensifier
and switch off the machine (removing the start-up key from the command console to prevent it
being accidentally switched back on), then use appropriate open-end spanners to check the
tightening of the nuts on the joints (always use a second key). If you don't find any anomalies but
the leak continues, contact an Intermac-authorised technician.
The components used in the high pressure system are subject to wear over time.
For the maintenance of the UHP intensifier, refer to the manufacturer's manual.
