11 Routine and special maintenance

During maintenance operations, the machine must be OFF.
To remove all traces of dust and material deposits, rinse with water and, if necessary, dry with a
compressor.
Clean and dry the floor around the machine, because water and/or deposits will make it slippery.
At the end of the work shift, clean not only the whole machine but also the working head drive
devices.
Use a vacuum cleaner or cloth to clean the electrical cabinet. Never use compressed air, as dust
removed may be deposited on the electrical contacts and cause damage.
Cleaning the work table
Every day, remove the material waste produced by the machining operations and deposited on the
table or in the gaps between the supports. Remove the waste from the grille below the table as
well, to facilitate the decantation of the cut material and (if used) of the abrasive; this will allow the
recycling of the machining water. For further information, refer to chapter 8.
