4.2 Characteristics and dimensions of workable
materials
The Primus machine with pure water jet cutting can work the following materials:
foam rubber, insulating and non-conductive materials
stratified rubber
reinforced rubber
sealing materials
textile materials (felt/carpet)
materials for footwear
leather, natural and artificial hide
chalk, paper and corrugated cardboard
wood and thin plywood (puzzles)
compound materials loaded with glass/kevlar™/carbon
plastic materials in sheets, polystyrene
ABS, PVC
moulded circuits
foodstuffs
By adding abrasive powder to the water jet (optional abrasive cutting head), the following
materials can also be worked:
stony materials (marble, granite, natural stones, ceramic, glazed stoneware, etc.)
simple glass, laminated glass, bullet-proof glass and special glass
industrial ceramics
titanium and special alloys
steel, stainless steel
metal sheet
aluminium
copper, brass, lead, bronze, silver, gold
special materials (particularly thick compounds, honeycomb structures, magnetic lattens,
lining, graphite, carbon fibre, gaskets, fibreglass, rock wool, thick plywood, resins)
