10 Carrying out machining operations

The origin can be manually written by the operator, or detected via the electronic detection
device (laser pointer).
Description of the parameters
For information about the parameters, refer to chapter 6.
10.4 Positioning and locking the piece
The piece positioning operation is entirely manual:
If the pieces exceed the weight permitted by applicable law, and if they are larger than
one metre, they must be lifted with the aid of special equipment. Use lifting
equipment as well for pieces that have to be positioned at more than 800mm from the
outer edge of the work table.
Check there is adequate support in the table area where you want to position the piece.
1. Select the program.
2. Position the piece on the work table.
3. Acquire the origin in semi-automatic mode, or select the “Automatic origin acquisition” icon.
4. Leave the working area and activate the safety guards.
5. Launch the automatic program.
