5.3.1 Using the hand-held button pad
The hand-held button pad is designed primarily to allow the operator to tool the work table without
having to move to the main console in order to send the commands needed for this operation.
Once a program has been chosen for the piece to be created, the button pad is activated from the
software key, enabling the tooling on station 1 or station 2.
By pressing one of the two buttons (start station 1 or 2), the machine will apply the positionings on
the selected half-plane.
Proceed as follows:
the button used to enable the powering of the axes (so they move to the defined points) is located
on the side of the hand-held button pad - the "man present" button. This button has three positions;
two of these (fully pressed, and released) prevent the machine from making any movements, while
the intermediate position (partly pressed) allows the movement of the axes.
During this phase, the flashlight on the electrical cabinet is active.
Use the scroll keys to consult the various functions available, then press the confirm key to access
the required function.
The main functions include selecting the manual work mode, commanding the hood and laser, and
selecting the axis to be moved.
With the (F) - left arrow and right arrow - keys, you can repeat the function of the manual Jog- and
Jog+ buttons to reduce or increase the speed of the movements.
The button pad is also used to manage certain primary commands, such as start-stop-reset,
command of the quick speed for axis interpolation during a machining operation.
Key F3 is used to command the descent or ascent of the valve.
For the instructions on how to use the latter functions (also present via the keys of the main
console), refer to the User Interface Manual.
