FRONT MOWER SHUT-OFF SWITCH
(See Figure 10G-12)
The switch prevents operation of the mower when it is
in the raised position.
1. Lower mower reels to the ground.
2. Disconnect wire connector at switch.
3. Set multimeter to 200 Ω (ohms) scale.
4. Connect multimeter test leads to switch terminals.
•
There should be a reading of 0–0.5 Ω (ohms)
on the multimeter.
5. Lift and hold switch lever up in OFF position.
•
There should be no reading on the multimeter.
NOTE
Switch must be installed so that lever is
engaged when mower arms are raised.
Replace a switch that does not meet all the above
test results or has resistance of 0.5 Ω (ohms) or more.
