PARKING BRAKE SWITCH TEST
REVERSE SENSING SWITCH TEST

NOTE
Before testing, check to see if the switch is just
out of adjustment. See Section 2C for adjustment
procedures.
1. Remove the wires from the switch.
2. Set multimeter to 200 Ω (ohms) scale.
3. Connect leads to switch as shown.
•
There should be no continuity through the switch.
4. Actuate switch (push button down).
•
There should be a reading of 0–0.5 Ω (ohms) at
multimeter.
Replace a switch that does not meet all the above
test results or has resistance of 0.5 Ω (ohms) or more.
