HORN SWITCH TEST (See Figure 10G-15)
The horn switch sounds the tractor horn when the op-
erator pushes on the switch. It also can be used to test
the lights on the monitor panel.
1. Remove the plug from the switch.
2. Set multimeter to 200 Ω (ohms) scale.
3. Connect leads to switch as shown.

There should be no continuity through the switch.
4. Depress switch.
•
There should be a reading of 0–0.5 Ω (ohms) at
multimeter.
Replace a switch that does not meet all the above
test results or has resistance of 0.5 Ω (ohms) or more.
