GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) is a telecommunication standard for transmitting data packages to mobile phones.
CDMA is a telecommunication standard for transmitting data packages using the Internet protocol.
Setting Descriptions
The table below describes the settings that can be configured on the Configure GSM / Modem / CDMA page.
Select the device to be used. The list shows all GSM / Modem / CDMA devices configured in
the device management.
Enter the PIN (personal identification number) code for the device's SIM card.
The PUK (PIN unblock key) code is a security code for the SIM card used on some devices.
The PUK code needs to be entered when the PIN code has been entered incorrectly more
than three times and the SIM card is blocked. The PUK will unblock the SIM card.
This field can normally remain empty.
Only available on the GR25/50.
Select the physical serial port for data transmission
• Serial port 1
• Serial port 2
For the GR10/30 & GM10/30, Serial port 1 is configured
automatically as there is only one serial port available.
For slot in devices, this field is not available, the slot-in port is
selected automatically.
