2.7 Applicable Rules and Regulations
The following section lists the specific national regulations which must be obser-
ved during operation of the implement:
the highway code.
the health and safety laws and regulations.
the laws and regulations for operational safety.
the laws and regulations for protection of the operator.
the laws and regulations for protection of the environment.
the laws and regulations for handling agricultural chemicals
the laws and regulations for plant protection methods.
2.8 Operation on public highways
2.8.1 Lighting system and identification
A proper lighting system, identification and equipment must be on the device if it is
to be transported on public roads. Further information can be requested from the
appropriate authorities.
2.8.2 Permissible weight of the implement
The weight of the implement is transferred to the road via the wheels and from the
tractor.
The following points must therefore be noted for the safe operation of the imple-
ment:
The permissible support load of the trailer coupling of the tractor must not be
exceeded.
The permissible axle load of the implement must not be exceeded.
The wheels which are used (tyres and rims) must have the same or a larger
load bearing capacity as the axle. If the load bearing capacity of the wheels is
less than the permissible axle load, the implement may only be filled to the
permissible load bearing capacity of the wheels.
