5.6 Volumetric metering of the nozzles and calibrating the flowmeter
Automatic control of the distribution rate
[l/ha] is achieved via the travel speed and
the flow of the spraying fluid through the
nozzles. The spraying fluid flow rate de-
pends on the selected nozzles and the
spray pressure.
The spraying fluid flow rate is measured
using the flowmeter. If the spraying fluid n
flows through the flowmeter, impulses are
triggered. The impulses are recorded and
used to calculate the flow rate.
To ensure the calculated flow rate corres-
ponds to the actual flow rate, the flow rate
can be checked by volumetric metering the
nozzles and the flowmeter can be calibra-
ted.
Applications:
Before commissioning for the first time
At the start of each season
If the distribution rate displayed differs
from the actual distribution rate sprayed
When the flowmeter has been replaced
or repaired
Preconditions:
The general approach taken to working
with the control system is well known.
Measurement cup on hand.
The entire implement is cleaned with
clean water.
