To connect a PTZ camera to the system:
1. Connect the BNC video cable to one of the video inputs on the DVR.
2. Connect the RS485 cables:
2.1. Connect the A (TX+) cable to the positive (+) terminal.
2.2. Connect the B (TX–) cable to the negative (–) terminal.
3. Connect the PTZ camera’s power adapter to a power outlet.
NOTE
Once you have completed physical setup, you must configure the DVR so it can communicate with
the PTZ camera. For full instructions, see 12.4.3 Configuring PTZ Cameras, page 75. Be sure to have
the instruction manual for your PTZ camera on hand.
