17.Tightentensionerboltto20–23Nm.
Caution:Itisimperativethatthepointerapproachesthe
indexwirefromabove.Ifthepointerpassestheindex
wire,thetensionmustbefullyreleasedandthetensioning
proceduremustberepeated.
18.Usingaspanneronthecrankshaftpulley,rotate
crankshaft2completerevolutionsandaligncamshaft
geartimingmarks.
Caution:Neverusethecamshaftgear,thecamshaftgear
retainingboltsorthetimingbelttoturnthecrankshaft.
19.Checkalignmentofpointertoindexwire.
20.Ifpointerisnotcorrectlyaligned,loosenboltuntil
itisjustpossibletomovetensioninglever.Rotate
tensioningleverclockwiseuntiltensioniscompletely
backedoff,thenrotatetensioningleveranti-clockwise
untilpointerisalignedcorrectlytoindexwire.
21.Tightentensionerboltto20–23Nm.
22.Rotatecrankshaft2completerevolutionsandalign
timingmarks.
23.Checkalignmentofpointertoindexwire,ifincorrect,
repeatadjustmentprocedure.
24.Fitdrivebeltfrontuppercover .
