Operationofthesunroofisenabledwhilethehandsetis
dockedorwhentheignitionison.
SunroofSwitch
Whentherotarysunroofswitchisoperated,theearthoutputs
producedareinterpretedbythesunroofECUinthemotorand
drivegear,whichthensuppliespowertodrivethesunroofto
therequiredposition.
TiltOperation
Whentheglasspanelisclosed,rotatingandholdingtheswitch
counter-clockwisewilltiltthepanelopen.Releasingtheswitch
willstopthepanelimmediately.Ifthepanelistiltedfullyopen,
rotateandholdtheswitchclockwisetocloseit.Sunroof
movementcanbestoppedimmediatelyatanytimebyreleasing
theswitch.Thesunroofdoesnothaveaone-touchtiltfunction.
SlideOperation
Iftheglasspanelisclosed,rotatingandholdingtheswitch
counter-clockwisewillslidethepanelopen.Releasingthe
switchcausestheglasspaneltostopimmediately.Ifthe
panelisslidopenfully,thenrotateandholdtheswitch
counter-clockwisetocloseit.Sunroofmovementcanbe
stoppedimmediatelyatanytimebyreleasingtheswitch.The
sunroofdoesnothaveone-touchcloseoranti-trapfunctions.
OneT ouch(Express)Opening
Rotatingcounter-clockwiseandthenquicklyreleasingthe
sunroofswitchwillinitiateonetouchslideopenoperation.
Thismovestheglasspaneltothefullyopenpositioninone
movement.Amomentarycounter-clockwiserotationofthe
switchwhilethepanelismovingwillcausethepaneltostop
immediately.
Initialisation
Iftheglasspanelhasbeenoperatedmanuallyorhasbeen
replaced,itsinitialpositionmustberestoredusingthe
followingprocedure:
1.Rotateandholdtheswitchclockwise,theglasspanelwill
starttomovetotilt-upposition.Whentheglasspanel
reachesthetiltuppositionfully,thenreleasetheswitch.
2.Rotatetheswitchclockwiseagain,andthenholditfor8
seconds.Theglasspanelwillmovestep-by-steptowards
tiltup.Keeprotatingtheswitchclockwiseuntiltheglass
panelisbacktothetilt-upposition,thenreleasethe
switchtocompleteinitialisation.
3.Afterthesetwostepssunroofinitialisationiscomplete.
EmergencyManualOperation
Ifthereisafailureofthecontrolsystem,thesunroofcanbe
operatedmanuallybyremovingthefrontinteriorlamphousing
andusingaallenkeytoturnthemanualdrivesocketonthe
undersideofthemotoranddrivegear.
MotorThermalProtection
T opreventdamagetothemotor,theECUlimitsmotor
operationasfollows:
•Continuousoperationinonedirectionof120seconds
maximum.
•Theminimumcoolingtimeis20seconds.
Ifthethermalcutouthasbeentriggered,anyrequeststoopen
thesunroofaredisableduntiltheunithascooledsufciently.
However,thesunroofwillacceptcommandstoclose.
