Remove
1.Disconnectbatteryearthlead.
2.Release2clipsanddisconnect2breatherhosesfrom
camshaftcover.
3.Disconnectignitioncoilandcamshaftpositionsensor
harnesstoengineharnessmultiplug.
4.Remove2boltssecuringinletcamshaftsealblanking
platetocylinderheadandpositionharnessandplate
aside.
5.Removeignitioncoils.

6.Progressivelyloosenandremove15boltssecuring
camshaftcover.
7.Removecamshaftcover.
Caution:Thegasketisreusableandshouldremain
attachedtothecamshaftcover.
8.Checkconditionofsealingpath.Itshouldbecomplete
andattachedtogasket.Removegasketfromcamshaft
coveronlyifsealingpathisdamagedordetachedfrom
gasket.
Ret
1.Cleanmatingsurfacesofcamshaftcoverandcarrier.
2.Cleaninsideofcamshaftcover.Ifnecessary,washoil
separatorelementsinsolventandblowdry.
3.Ifcamshaftcovergasketistoberenewed,tnewgasket
with'EXHAUSTMANSIDE'marktowardsexhaust
manifold.
4.Fitcamshaftcovertocamshaftcarrier.Fitboltsand
workinginsequenceillustrated,tightenprogressively
to7–10Nm.
5.Fitignitioncoils.

6.Fitinletcamshaftsealblankingplateandtightenblots
to
5–7Nm.
7.Connectignitioncoilandcamshaftsensorharnessto
engineharnessmultiplugs.
8.Connectbreatherhosesandsecurewithclips.
9.Connectbatteryearthlead.
