1.Ifcrankshafthasbeenrotated,ensurethattiming
marksoncrankshafttiminggearandoilpumpange
arealigned.
2.RemoveboltssecuringcylinderlinerclampsT10018
andremoveclamps.Donotrotatecrankshaftwith
clampsremoved.
3.Cleanjointsurfacesofcylinderheadandcylinderblock.
4.Checkcylinderheadfordamage,payparticular
attentiontogasketfaceofcylinderhead.
5.Checkcylinderheadfaceforwarping,acrosscentre
andfromcornertocornerasshown.
6.Checkcylinderheadheight(refertospecications)
7.Cleanoilandcoolantpassages.
8.Cleancylinderheadbolts,inspectboltsforsignsof
damage.
9.Washcylinderheadboltsandwipedry.
10.Applyalightlmofoiltoboltthreadsandundersideof
boltheads.
11.Fitnewcylinderheadgasket,dry,tocylinderblock.
12.Usingassistance,tcylinderheadontocylinderblock
carefullylocatingondowels.
13.Carefullyentercylinderheadbolts,DONOTDROP .
Screwboltsintoplacebyhand.
14.T emporarilyttiminggearstotheirrespective
camshafts,tbutdonottightenretainingboltsand
washers.
15.Workinginthesequenceshown,progressivelytighten
thecylinderheadboltsto20Nm;usetiminggearsto
