You must mark the floor area one meter around the docking marker and the robot when it is at
the Entry position. This is illustrated in Figure 12.23 where the robot is docking to a VL-marker.
Picking up and placing carts
When picking up or placing a cart, the robot slows down, reducing the size of its Protective field to
the minimum. The robot may drive very close to an object or person before stopping, making it
necessary to mark the area where there is a risk of personnel being struck or trapped behind the
cart as an operating hazard zone.Furthermore, when the robot reverses with a cart, it cannot
detect objects and personnel directly behind it due to the cart obstructing its view, making it
especially hazardous to stand behind the cart when the robot is reversing to a cart position.
